It has been weeks and weeks of rejections for me. As there was a slightest glimpse of opportunity in front of me, my eyes twinkled and I grabbed it right away – although I keep reminding myself not to count the chicks before the eggs hatch – but that delicate butterfly of opportunity was just crushed amidst my excitement of holding it tight. Maybe I just haven’t found my butterfly; maybe some butterflies are meant only for looking or are meant for others; maybe I’ve just been looking at the wrong place.
Perseverance is a virtue I surely have underestimated. Faith, too, has been taken for granted. I have to keep working on them.

Zee Avi, who also comes from Borneo, wrote and sang some songs on youtube and was discovered and flown into LA to record her debut album. Quite an amazing story about how internet has changed the music industry and how one girl’s passion brought her to places she may never have imagined. Sharing with you her beautiful voice.
